Division K Education & Training Tip No 11 Awards & Recognition
Recognition of achievement is a hugely important part of the Toastmasters experience – Best Speaker certificates, ribbons for individuals and clubs, award certificates and so on
Here’s a tip to encourage wider acknowledgement of achievement
When a member completes all the necessary requirements for an award, a club officer (usually the VPE) will log in to Club Central & post these details to the Toastmasters web site.
They’ll see this sentence as part of that awards dialogue:
“If you wish for the award packet to be mailed to a different address you may specify that below.”
The suggestion is for the award packet to be sent, not to the award winner, but to your Club President.
After it arrives, the President can present the certificate at the next club meeting.
So as well as their certificate, the recipient will get public acclaim & recognition for their accomplishment!
Thank you to Peter Gerlach Division K Governor for this Tip
